Due to the recent outbreak of COVID-19 in Saskatchewan’s north, voting may look different in the provincial election for different communities.

For the Lac La Ronge Indian Band, Chief Tammy Cook-Searson, Council and EOC, working with public health officials and Saskatchewan’s Chief Electoral Officer, have determined that in-person advance and election day polls can be held safely in Lac La Ronge Indian Band communities.  Elections Saskatchewan will continue to use the full range of COVID-19 precautions to ensure safer voting for both voters and election workers.

For voters in these communities who are isolated due to COVID-19, they should call 1-866-351-0040 to apply for an Extraordinary Voting ballot kit.  The deadline to do so is Tuesday, October 20 at 5:00 pm.

October 21 Update: The deadline to apply for an Extraordinary Voting ballot was 5 p.m. on October 20, 2020.
