Register to vote

The Government of Saskatchewan has officially proclaimed May as Voter Registration Month. Registering makes voting faster. While you can register in person while voting, registering online in advance will save you time.

Who can register?

To vote in a Saskatchewan provincial election, or by-election, you must be:

  • a Canadian citizen
  • at least 18 years old
  • a Saskatchewan resident

Voter ID Requirements

Before you are handed a ballot at a voting place, you must show the election worker ID that confirms your name and address.

Be Vote Ready Activity

Elections Saskatchewan partners with the Democratic Engagement Exchange to offer Be Vote Ready, a 10-15 minute activity that prepares high school students to vote and how to register and get on the voters list.
