September 5, 2018 – Thirty-five hours of advance voting begins Thursday at 3 p.m. for voters in the provincial constituency of Regina Northeast.
There are five straight days of advance voting:
Electors can vote at either of the two advance polls that is most convenient for them:
“With so many hours of advance voting, there really isn’t a need to arrive early to line up outside before the polls open,” says Dr. Michael Boda, Chief Electoral Officer of Saskatchewan. “Most line ups at advance voting locations are due to voters arriving before the doors open. We encourage all voters to take advantage of the 35 hours of advance voting and to consider avoiding the busy times such as when polls first open and over the supper hour.”
Most voters are already registered and should have received a voter information card in their mailbox by now. The card outlines where and when to vote on September 12, and their options for advance voting.
Eligible voters not on the list yet can still register in-person when they go to vote. Voters are reminded to bring along ID, such as a driver’s licence.
Advance voting turnout numbers will be posted daily by 1 p.m. during advance voting at: www.elections.sk.ca/voters/constituency-of-regina-northeast-by-election/advance-voting-turnout-regina-northeast/
All information about this event can be found at www.elections.sk.ca/reginanortheast. September 12 is the last day to vote.
