Seeking Feedback on the Newsfeed
The purpose of the Newsfeed is to keep Elections Saskatchewan’s Field Leadership Team up-to-date on matters leading to the April 4, 2016 election. The Newsfeed is designed as an efficient and practical communications method, one which allows the FLT to receive important election updates quickly. The Newsfeed includes training snippets, reminders of important tasks and dates, news updates, and information about other important topics.
Since July we have distributed 10 issues of the Newsfeed, including this issue. This is a great time to engage in an assessment of the Newsfeed to ensure it is fulfilling its purpose. We ask that each of you complete a short feedback survey. The survey can be found at http://fluidsurveys.com/s/newsfeedfeedback/.
We hope you will take the time to offer your feedback so we can ensure this communication tool is meeting your needs as FLT members. You shouldn’t need more than 15 minutes to complete the survey. Your responses will be kept confidential. Please keep track of the time you spend completing this survey and include it on your monthly invoice submission.
As we get closer to the April 4, 2016 general election we will continue to seek new staff to fill a variety of important roles. All of these positions are listed on Elections Saskatchewan’s website: https://www.elections.sk.ca/workers/available-positions/. We would like to draw your attention specifically to the open Returning Officer and Election Clerk positions.
As you are all aware, filling these positions with engaged, competent employees is crucial to a well-run election. We invite each member of the FLT to consider their friends or family members who might live within the constituencies listed on the website. If you know of anyone who might make an excellent member of the FLT, please encourage them to apply online.
We also want to inform the FLT that Aliya Jiwa is no longer with Elections Saskatchewan. We want to thank her for all of her work on accessibility and wish her the best in her future endeavours.

We wanted to take a moment to recognize the staff at our warehouse who are working diligently to prepare and pack all of the materials that will be used during the upcoming election. The operation is a logistical wonder and an impressive sight to behold. The warehouse is stocked with everything from forms and envelopes to signage and ballot boxes, and our warehouse staff is doing an excellent job sorting and packing all of these materials into election kits.
