Weyburn-Big Muddy By-Election

Pursuant to subsection 40(1) of The Legislative Assembly and Executive Council Act, 2005, Ms. Brenda Backen Lackey of The Saskatchewan Party vacated her seat in the constituency of Weyburn-Big Muddy on February 28, 2006.
On May 19, 2006, pursuant to an Order of the Lieutenant Governor in Council, a Writ of Election was issued by the Chief Electoral Officer to Mr. Dave Unraw, constituency returning officer. The Writ ordered that the by-election be held on June 19, 2006.
