Saskatoon Riversdale By-Election, September 21, 2009

 Pursuant to section 40 of The Legislative Assembly and Executive Council Act, 2007, Lorne Calvert of the New Democratic Party vacated his seat in the constituency of Saskatoon Riversdale on June 30, 2009.

On Monday, August 24, 2009, pursuant to an Order of the Lieutenant Governor in Council, a Writ of Election was issued by the Chief Electoral Officer to Roxanne Scott, constituency Returning Officer. The Writ ordered that the by-election be held on Monday, September 21, 2009.

Prior to the call of the September 21, 2009 by-election, standing in the Legislative Assembly included:

    • 38 Saskatchewan Party
    • 18 New Democratic Party
    • 2 vacant
